The Hijacking of Legacy Modernization

Time was when "legacy modernization" meant updating or modifying existing applications to fit into new modern architectures – like the Web. But back in 2004 (coincidentally around the time Microsoft launched the Mainframe Migration Alliance) the term "legacy modernization" was gradually hijacked to mean "mainframe migration".
